Recipe: Sriracha “Pulled Pork” Sammiches with Pickled Red Onion
As you may know, The Veggie-Lover’s Sriracha Cookbook is coming out in just a few days! I’m super excited, and my good friend/vegan blogger extraordinaire Kristy from KeepinItKind.com is too! She’s hosting a giveaway where you can win a copy of my new book, and she’s sharing my recipe for Sriracha “pulled pork” sandwiches! It’s made with young jackfruit, which mimics the texture of pulled pork perfectly, and the delightfully spicy sauce adheres to it beautifully. I love it and know you will too!

“The Southpaw” from The Manila Machine
LA’s favorite Filipino food truck, The Manila Machine, is serving up a special sandwich this week in honor of Filipino boxer and national icon Manny Pacquiao, who will be fighting Antonio Margarito tomorrow.
The sandwich, dubbed The Southpaw (Pacquiao is left-handed), is an open-faced toasted pan de sal roll topped with The Manila Machine’s signature sisig (spicy calamansi-marinated pork jowls), sriracha mayo, crumbled chicharon, onions, a fried egg, banana ketchup, and a bonus drizzle of sriracha for good measure.

Fried Egg Sandwich with Sriracha Aioli – Heather John, The Foodinista, considers herself a bit of an expert on fried egg sandwiches, and looking at the picture of this masterpiece, spiked with Sriracha aioli, I’d have to agree. A perfectly fried egg on multi-grain bread topped with spicy greens like arugula, thin slices of Gruyère cheese, and a healthy squirt of Sriracha mayo… breakfast of champions. (Pardon the cliché.)
